Run Committee Sets 2009 Date
June 26, 2008 — The Organizing Committee of the annual Sean’s Run Presented by First Niagara Bank recently conducted their annual meeting, reported accomplishments and elected their officers responsible for leading the group’s work in planning and producing the 2009 Sean’s Run. The committee set Sunday, April 26, 2009 as the date for the 8th Sean’s Run and also reported a record-setting 1,085 entrants this past April. Participants, young and old, runners and walkers, came from throughout Columbia County and the capital region. Results, photos and a complete listing of entrants are posted at www.SeansRun.com. The Committee also decided to memorialize Meghan Kraham, who at age 16 helped found Sean’s Run and succumbed to a rare form of cancer on August 18, 2008, by renaming the youth mile race from SeansMile to Meghan’s Mile. Officers for the ensuing year include Jeff French, General Chairman, Carol Goold, Vice Chair, Joanne Doyle and Tammi Menegio serving as Co-Treasuers, Mark French as Secretary and Katherine Behrens, Student Liaison from Chatham High School. Nancy Zygmon, past Business Manager and Jenna Frederick, CHS Class of 2010 were elected to the Honorary Board of Directors.
